Tilapia (Oreochromis mossambicus) is a freshwater fish that is extensively cultured because of its strong adaptability to fluctuating environmental conditions and its relatively rapid growth performance. Current strategies to enhance fish growth increasingly involve the incorporation of biological feed supplements, particularly probiotics. This research was designed to evaluate the influence of probiotic isolates Lactiplantibacillus plantarum derived from pakoba fruit (Syzygium luzonense) on the specific growth rate (SGR), length increment, and survival rate of tilapia. The study applied a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of four treatments with five replications each: P0 (control), P1 (10 ml), P2 (20 ml), and P3 (30 ml). Observed parameters included SGR, absolute length growth, and survival rate. The results demonstrated that probiotic supplementation significantly affected SGR (p < 0.05), with the highest mean value recorded in treatment P3 (30 ml). Survival rate was also significantly influenced by probiotic administration (p < 0.05), and the most favorable outcome was similarly observed in treatment P3.In contrast, the data for length growth were normally distributed and subsequently analyzed using one-way ANOVA. The analysis revealed that probiotic supplementation did not produce a statistically significant effect on the length growth of tilapia (p > 0.05).
